Norma Jean Hall, 84, of Marquette, MI and former lifelong Decatur resident, passed away from this world into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday May 8, 2011 at home with her daughter, with whom she had resided for almost three years.

In later years the couple would vacation together in Florida until Ben’s retirement and then they purchased their retirement home in Port Charlotte, FL.

In her leisure, Norma enjoyed sewing for her daughter and herself, she also enjoyed sewing silk lace bonnets and caps for newborn babies. In earlier years as a member of Riverside Baptist Church, she was always asked to make the sweet tea for the church potlucks. Norma was active in the Ladies Missionary Society and Torchbearers, she often volunteered for Vacation Bible School. She also attended Bethel Baptist Church in Marquette, MI.

Norma is survived by her two children: Terry (Patricia) Hall of Forsyth, IL and Carolyn (Edward) Deyo of Marquette, MI; her grandchildren: Mark (Shauna) Hall, Michelle (Dave) Edwards, Zachariah (Jennifer) Deyo, Benjamin Deyo, Amy Deyo and Noah Deyo; three great grandchildren: Maddie Hall, Bailey Edwards and Cole Edwards; her loving sisters: Barbara (Walt) Carter of Decatur, IL and Marilyn (Don) Allen of Columbia, S. C.; sister-in-law Helen Hall of Decatur, IL, brother-in-law Bill Whitacre of Decatur, IL, and many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Benjamin Hall on January 23, 1994, her brother Wayne Hall and two grandbabies Christian and Faith Deyo.
